Your Story Matters

Tell us what your family remembers. A custom is not automatic proof, but a sincere memory deserves respectful investigation.

What to include

Useful details include family towns, surnames, maternal line, Friday customs, food customs, mourning customs, old documents, hidden objects, language fragments, and whether elders can still be interviewed.

  • Family towns and migration routes
  • Surnames of grandparents and great-grandparents
  • Maternal-line chain if known
  • Friday night, food, mourning, or hidden customs
  • Civil, church, synagogue, cemetery, or Inquisition records
  • Photos, objects, letters, or family notebooks
  • Names of elders who can still be interviewed
Important: A surname, DNA result, or single custom is not proof of Jewish status. The first goal is respectful intake and proper direction.

This form is routed through the site mail handler. Private family records should not be uploaded publicly; a staff member will advise next steps.
